How to Get Sierra

Sierra is available on new Texas State standard Mac computer orders. Also, Sierra is installed through ITAC's re-image service and is available as an upgrade via LANrev. To learn more, see the Mac Operating System webpage.

Hardware Specifications

Texas State's recommended minimum hardware specs for Sierra:

  • Processor: 1.6 GHz (gigahertz) dual core or better
  • RAM: 8 GB (gigabytes) or more
  • Available hard disk space: 30 GB or more
  • Some features may require an Apple ID (terms apply)
