Sierra (10.12) is compatible with Texas State IT services and software, and this OS is a supported operating system for Texas State-owned computers.

How to Get Sierra
Sierra is available on new Texas State standard Mac computer orders. Also, Sierra is installed through ITAC's re-image service and is available as an upgrade via LANrev. To learn more, see the Mac Operating System webpage.
Texas State's recommended minimum hardware specs for Sierra:
- Processor: 1.6 GHz (gigahertz) dual core or better
- RAM: 8 GB (gigabytes) or more
- Available hard disk space: 30 GB or more
- Some features may require an Apple ID (terms apply)
