How to Get El Capitan
El Capitan is available for all Texas State-owned and managed Mac computers. It can be obtained via Absolute Manage and is also part of the Standard Software Image.
Do not upgrade a Texas State-owned Mac computer to El Capitan using a personal Apple ID.
Texas State's recommended minimum hardware specs for El Capitan:
- Processor: 1.5 GHz (gigahertz) dual core or better
- RAM: 8 GB (gigabytes) or more
- Available hard disk space: 30 GB or more
