E-Learning for Faculty/Staff

Technology Resources has licensed on-line electronic learning for a variety of Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Office to enable Texas State faculty/staff to learn how to use Microsoft products to be more productive and efficient in their respective job fields.

Authorized Users and Browser Requirements

Due to license requirements from Microsoft®, only Texas State faculty and staff may use the information provided on the E-Learning web site.  Please supply your Texas State NetID and password to log on when prompted.  E-Learning is available only for Microsoft Windows users using the Internet Explorer browser.

Initial Access Instructions

If you have never access the E-Learning web site using your Texas State e-mail address, you will need to set up a Windows Live ID associated with your Texas State e-mail address.  Follow the instructions on the Initial  Access Instructions for E-Learning web page.  You will be prompted to enter your faculty/staff Texas State NetID and password to view the instructions.

 

To access your E-Learning course at any time, please follow these steps:

Once you have established your Windows Live ID and associated it with your Texas State e-mail address, you will be able to access the E-Learning modules using the following instructions:

  1. If you have not done once before, visit the Initial Access Instructions for E-Learning web page
  2. Go to: https://business.microsoftelearning.com/
  3. Click the Sign In button in the upper right corner of the page
  4. Sign in to Windows Live using your Windows Live ID and password
  5. Click the My Learning Catalog link on the left side of the page under Customer Login
  6. Begin your E-Learning course

As you progress through a lesson using the Microsoft® E-Learning web site, completion of each lesson will be tracked and you will be able to return to the spot you were at previously in the given lesson.
