Microsoft Skype for Business (formerly known as Lync) is an instant messaging software that unifies voice and video calls, online meetings, and presence, making it simple to choose and switch between different forms of communication.

Before you Begin
- A NetID and password are required.
- You must be logged in as an administrator on the computer to install the software.
- MAC OS X (10.5.8 or higher) is required for Lync 2011.
Note: Microsoft Skype for Business / Lync installed on personal devices is to be used for Texas State University business purposes only.
