In order to install certain Windows software packages over the Texas State network, your computer must be in the TXSTATE domain.

To verify that your computer is in the TXSTATE domain:

You can download and run the Check for TXSTATE domain application or:

1. From the Start menu, right click on My Computer and select Properties.
2. In the Properties window, click the Computer Name tab.
   
   
3. If you computer is located in the TXSTATE domain, you will see a line labeled Domain:  matrix.txstate.edu .
4. Close the Properties window.

If your computer is NOT in the TXSTATE domain and you would like to do a network installation of some software package, please contact the IT Assistance Center or your TSP.
