Alertus is a rapid full-screen broadcasting system that is used to send alerts to Texas State-owned computers on the Texas State network. In the event of an emergency, Alertus displays effective and timely warnings to the campus community. Alertus Desktop Alert is available for faculty and staff to download and install on Texas State-owned computers.

Before You Begin
- A faculty or staff NetID and password are required.
- You must be logged in as an administrator on the computer to install the software.
- After downloading and installing the software, you must restart your computer to complete the installation.
Note: Alertus Desktop Alert is to be installed on Texas State-owned computers only.
