Project Milestones |
SIS system functionality will be deployed in stages following the academic cycle:
| Area | Go-Live Date | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Admissions and Recruitment | August 2010 | Applications for the Fall 2011 semester and beyond will be processed in the new SIS System. Prospects will be captured and recruiting campaigns will be launched using the new system. |
| Housing | August 2010 | As Applicants are accepted for the Fall 2011 semester and beyond, housing contracts will be collected and pre-payments will be captured using the new SIS System. |
| Financial Aid | February 2011 | For the Fall 2011 semester and beyond, Financial Aid will be able to process applications in the new SIS System. For Financial Aid applications that are submitted before Admission applications, a Prospect record will be created. In addition, students will no longer have to take action to accept Financial Aid disbursement. |
| Records and Registration | April 2011 | For the Fall 2011 semester and beyond, students will register in the new SIS and be able to wait list classes for the first time. Departments will be able to utilize the room scheduler, Ad Astra, to its fullest. Registrar staff will produce outgoing transcripts in the new SIS as well as update demographic information and improve the lines of communication with the campus as a whole through workflows and email notifications. |
| Advising | April 2011 | For the Fall 2011 semester and beyond, Advisors and Students will be able to utilize the online scheduler to plan courses for the following and future semesters using DegreeWorks. Students will be able to run “what if” audits. Departments will be able to anticipate course needs based on recommended course. |
| Accounts Receivable and Billing | April 2011 | For Fall 2011 and beyond, Tuition and Fee payments can be made online and in person using the new SIS System. In addition, student electronic billing, third party contracts and exemptions, online enrollment for electronic refunds and financial aid disbursements are all available. |
| Parking Services | April 2011 | For Fall 2011 and beyond, Parking Permits and fines will be assessed and collected using the new SIS system. |
