Access is provided based on departmental business need to these Student Information System (SIS) services: Internet Native Banner (INB), Self Service Banner (SSB – Advising Functions), Document Management (BDMS), and DegreeWorks.
Internet Native Banner (INB) is the administrative system for the university's Student Information System (SIS). INB access is granted to faculty and staff based on business need. Contact ITAC to reset your INB password.
To setup your NetID and password, Texas State requires the additional connection of a personal email address (a non-Texas State email address). This added security measure helps to protect your password from getting into the wrong hands. To manage settings, log into the Online Toolkit and click Personal Email Address.
Role Management is a tool where group managers can add or remove user access from groups such as department share drives or shared mailbox/calendars. Log into the Online Toolkit and click Role Management.
Available to Faculty, Staff, and Student Employees
SAP is the university's financial and human resources system. All faculty, staff, and student employees get automatic access as Texas State employees. However, some roles are restricted based on job duties and require additional access requests.
Security groups are used to add or remove user access to services such as network printers, accessing reports, or accessing specific services. To manage access, group managers should log into the Online Toolkit and click Role Management.
