Office Users: Windows users visit the TR Office 2007 Web page to learn how to upgrade to Office 2007.
Mac users visit the TR Office 2008 Web page to learn how to upgrade to Office 2008.
To access Texas State online services such as BobcatMail, CatsWeb, TRACS and the SAP Portal, you will need to set up a NetID (username) and password.
Your Texas State University NetID is a number and letter combination given to you when you first enrolled at the university.
Your NetID is also the prefix to your Texas State University email address.
Example NetID (username): zz9999
Example email address: zz9999@txstate.edu

Option 1: You must register for classes before you are able to login to any of the Texas State University pages.
Take me to Register using my Texas State ID# or SSN and CATS PIN as my passwordOption 2: If you do not plan on taking courses this semester but need access to your email, see below:
Since you are no longer a current student, your account access has been deactivated. Until you register for classes, you will have to forward your Texas State email to a Non-Texas State email account. (EX: Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.)
Please follow the directions below to gain Temporary Access to your account, and then set a forward on your Texas State Email Address.
- You must have the following information ready before you proceed:
- Your Texas State ID # (Six-Digit number on ID Card or SSN)
- Your NetID (username, EX: zz9999)
- Your Full Name
- Please contact ITAC at itac@txstate.edu or 512-245-ITAC (4822) to obtain a temporary password to your account. When sending e-mail, please include all of the items listed in step one above.
- Once you have temporary access to your account, please set a forward on your account by logging into the Email Toolkit and click on "Set Forward."

- A valid phone number to reach you OR a Non-TxState email address
- Please contact the Correspondence Office at 512-245-2322 to initiate this process.
- When the process is complete, you will be contacted by phone or email when your account has been reactivated.

Emergency / Urgent Temporary Access:

- Your Texas State ID # (Six-Digit number on ID Card or SSN)
- Your NetID (username, EX: zz9999)
- A Non-TxState email address (EX: Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc)
- Obtain the phone number to your Department through the campus directory or by calling the campus switchboard at 512-245-2111
- Call your department and ask that they confirm that you are studying abroad with Texas State University and have them send the following to ITAC at itac@txstate.edu
- Confirmation of Studying Abroad with Texas State University
- Texas State ID #.
- Your NetID (username)
- Your Non-TxState email address. (used to contact you with your new password)
- Once your department sends the email, you will be contacted by email from ITAC when your account is reactivated.
