The purpose of the Non-Replacement Program (NRP) is to provide a streamlined process that provides special pricing and quick delivery for Texas State Dell and Apple computers ordered and purchased from departmental funds.
If you are new to the NRP ordering process, please see the FY08 Computer Ordering Presentation.
Those users already familiar with the NRP ordering process can order computers using the links below:
NRP - Dell Computers | NRP - Apple Computers
The NRP program supplements the Computer Replacement Program (CRP) by providing an alternative way to order computer configurations outside the scope of Computer Replacement Program. Texas State faculty and staff utilizing the NRP will benefit from the technical expertise of the Technology Resources staff, special pricing that has been negotiated with Apple and Dell, and timely receipt of computer orders. If you have questions about the NRP, or would like help selecting an appropriate configuration to meet your needs, please feel free to contact us.
To order a computer, please submit the NRP Computer Request Form via email to TRBusiness@txstate.edu.
Be sure to complete this form in its entirety as all of this information is needed in order to process your request. After you have completed and submitted the form, the following steps will take place.
Our standard Apple and Dell computers include desktop, laptop, and small laptop models that have been carefully selected to satisfy the needs of most users. They will function well within the Texas State network environment and should handle supported Windows and Macintosh software for a minimum of three years. Options that are popular or have been evaluated as beneficial and cost effective are available as upgrades on our standard computers. Due to specially negotiated pricing and logistic advantages, our standard configurations will generally offer better value and be received in less time than custom configurations.
Please visit the following pages for links to our Apple Custom Store and our Dell Premier site. Instructions are included for viewing and ordering a computer based upon one of our standard configurations, as well as for configuring a custom computer.
