Voicemail Setup Overview

Callpilot is the campus voicemail system for administrative offices, faculty and staff.  You may use the online voicemail request form to request voicemail for your department.  See the administrative voicemail tips to learn the phone function keys to process voicemail more efficiently. In addition to regular telephone voicemail, we also offer Desktop Messaging which allows users to check e-mail, voicemail, and send faxes from their Windows computers.

Call Pilot Voice Messaging

Log On Process

Call Pilot messaging access number is 58800 (245-8800 from off campus)

  1. Dial 58800
  2. Enter your personal number (ex: 5-XXXX or 6XXXX at RRHEC or 8XXXX RH)
  3. Press #
  4. You will be prompted to enter a temp password (assigned by the administrator)
  5. Press #
  6. Press 84 to set up your personal password (must be at least 7 digits)
  7. Press #
  8. You will be prompted to enter your new personal password twice
  9. Press 82 for greetings
  10. There are 4 options for greetings: 1-external, 2-internal, 3-temporary absence , 4-personal verification (first/last name only)
  11. All messages are saved unless you delete them by pressing 76
  12. By dialing 58899, you can bypass the phone ringing 4 times and leave a message directly on a user's mail box
  13. When prompted for a mailbox number, enter the 5 digit phone number
  14. Press #

Checking Your Messages

  1. Lift the handset
  2. Dial 5-8800 (from off campus, dial 245-8800)
  3. You will be prompted for your 5 digit mailbox number
  4. Press #
  5. Enter your personal password
  6. Press #
  7. After listening to your messages, to delete a message, press 7 6
  8. To review previous message, press 4
  9. To review the next saved message, press 6
  10. If you do not delete a message, it will be saved
