The following instructions will walk you through setting up your iPhone to connect to the TexasStateWPA encrypted wireless network.
Requirements
- iPhone with version 2.0 or later operating system
- Active Texas State NetID and Password
TexasStateWPA Setup Instructions
- Using the iPhone, navigate to "Settings."
- Select "Wi-Fi"
- On the Wi-Fi Networks screen
Step 1, Make sure that your Wi-Fi connection is turned on.
Step 2, Select "TexasStateWPA" as shown below. (If this network is not shown, you are not within range of a Texas State wireless access point)

. - Next, fill in the requested information as shown below:
Step 1, Username: Enter "TXSTATE\NetID" (i.e. TXSTATE\zz99 or TXSTATE\zz9999).
Step 2, Password: Enter your NetID password.
Step 3, Select "Join" in the bottom right corner.

. - When prompted to approve the enigma certificate for TexasStateWPA, simply click "Accept" as shown below. This process should take less than one minute. If the process takes longer, please see step 7 for troubleshooting steps.

. - Once the certificate has been accepted, you should be redirected back to the Wi-Fi Networks screen. If you have successfully connected, you will notice a "Check Mark" next to the TexasStateWPA network as shown below.

. - If you are unable to connect, please check to make sure you entered your information correctly in step 4. A common mistake is to use the incorrect "slash" when entering your username.
